Cadillac DTS Chassis: You Don't Know What You've Got...'Til It's Gone!

Amelia, Ohio -- Everybody in the funeral industry knows the excitement caused when Cadillac announces a new body style. Many Funeral Directors want to be the first to get their hands on the latest model to offer to their clients. But sometimes there is something to be said for sticking with a "sure thing." The Cadillac DTS might be one such option.

It's been around for quite some time, ever since the Fall of 2005. From the time it was introduced, people noticed right away that it had distinctive Cadillac styling with crisp and contemporary body lines. The DTS has always been instantly recognized world-wide as a premium luxury automobile.

Engineering-wise, it has a proven power train, includes the Northstar 4.6L DOHC V8 engine, a heavy-duty engine oil cooling system, and a 4-speed automatic electronically-controlled Hydra-matic 4T80-E transmission with overdrive. It has 4-wheel independent suspension and Magnasteer, variable-assist, and rack-and-pinion steering, which help provide its smooth and luxurious ride.

The long-term durability of the Cadillac DTS will enable this funeral coach to retain its value for years to come. But their availability is drawing to a close. "Before they are gone, many Funeral Directors are choosing to go around one last time by purchasing another DTS hearse or limousine," said Randy Garner, Federal Coach's brand sales manager. "It matches their current fleets. It has larger dimensions and has demonstrated reliability and durability."

Garner added, "The 2013 XTS is destined to be a worthy replacement, however it won't be available until January of 2013 at best. Some people are recognizing the DTS's proven quality and styling and want to get a hold of one more while they still can."

Federal MKT Stratford Sets Sales Records!

Amelia, Ohio -- Many people involved in the funeral industry know that when Lincoln or Cadillac decides to make a body style change, it always stirs up excitement among funeral directors. Many take a look at their aging fleets to see if it's time to upgrade. They understand that the image of their funeral home is very often determined by the condition of their vehicles.

The same held true when Federal Coach displayed images of their first Lincoln MKT concept coach at the NFDA Convention & Expo in New Orleans in 2010. Not surprisingly, dealers began taking orders at the Show…and they haven't stopped since. By the time the first Federal retail units were released to the market at the NFD&MA Show in Atlanta, Georgia in August of 2011, the company already had many confirmed sales orders in-hand.

Since that time, Federal has delivered more Lincoln hearses in the past seven months then they delivered in the entire prior model year. The sales momentum is continuing as Federal's order backlog, for its Amelia, Ohio production facility, is growing. In fact, over 50% of the company's coach backlog is for their new MKT funeral coaches. These numbers reflect the significant pent-up demand that exists for something new, and Federal is setting company sales records as a result.

Release of the model year 2013 MKT offers even more improvements to the base chassis. It has a more appealing, stylish grille that adds elegance and sophistication to the funeral hearse, as well as the matching limousine, which Federal will release in July. Additionally, the 2013 MKTs will feature new 18-inch wheels and tires, and a built-in navigation system. Since style and appearance are leading factors in when a funeral director decides to purchase a vehicle, staying current with new models is very important to Federal Coach. Randy Garner, Federal's brand sales manager said, "Listening to our dealers and to the funeral directors' wants and needs is critical when it comes to developing new vehicles. These new MKT hearses and limousines are the answer to a lot of what people have been looking for."
